![]() ![]() It will always show 261hz as C3 and not C4. Sibelius, Finale 2014, Logic's Score Editor, Protools 11 Score Editor will all print a C4, in the middle C position if the Keyboard is transposed. ![]() So after a bunch of trouble shooting this is what I found. ![]() Hmm So I went to the Score editor BANG sitting right on the middle ledger line below the Treble Staff and frequency wise, it jived with C4 being 261HZ. (protools) on mackie mcu pro when there is more space on. WTH? so I went to the Piano Roll, Sure enough it put a note on C3. Controlling Studio One 4.5 with Novation Impulse 61 (new Mackie HUI Update) +1 vote. with the keyboard at -1 I hit C4, looked at the midi note at the top of the screen and sure enough it said C3. if i transposed it down -1 C4 = 261 cool. as did many frequency to note converters on the internet.īut what was throwing me off was that when my Novation Impulse 61 key keyboard was not transposed (sitting at Octave 0) I would play the 4th C from the left and it was a solid 500Hz definitely NOT middle C or C4. I was looking for a hard number for Middle C (1 ledger line below Treble Clef) I found the Spectratone Chart and it says Middle C (C4) is 261.626. Well I answered my own question and here it is.Īs a live sound tech frequencies are what I deal with everyday.
